Kathy has been in civil engineering/project management for the past +35 years. Projects have included commercial development for companies like EMC, clean coal projects funded by DOE, PPG product waste landfill reclamation project, dam permitting for hydro power and athletic facilities.
She is responsible for the coordination of the project team and client through the project site evaluation (existing conditions-survey, Geotech, wetlands), project design, permitting at local, state, and federal levels, bid and award and construction oversite. Kathy also assists with department project scheduling, marketing, and QA/QC.
What is your favorite part of your job?
In addition to enjoying working with the staff at Gale, my favorite part of the job is when we successfully complete an athletic project and I get to see the excitement on the faces of not only the client, but the students who will be using the field or courts.
