Roof Replacement and Associated Work
This historic building, originally constructed in 1886 and expanded in 1902 and 1986, was experiencing significant interior leaks. Gale performed a full building enclosure evaluation. The Old Library, although not listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has special significance because it is featured on the Town’s seal. Our evaluation report developed into a design for the full replacement of the original slate roof system and associated copper elements, as well as masonry repairs throughout the building. We also assisted with bid phase services and during construction.
