Webster Hall, constructed in 1907, is a historically significant structure that was redesigned to house the Rauner Special Collections Library in 1998. After a second-story modillion on the southwest corner of the building dislodged and fell from the cornice, Gale evaluated the cornice, modillions, and associated brick masonry components. Based on the assessment, Gale developed technical specifications and construction drawings for replacement of the modillions, low- and steep-sloped roof systems, cornice repairs, and repointing of the 100% of the building’s brick masonry.
