Gale provided roof replacement design and construction phase services for the approximately 11,000-square-foot roof system at Germantown Fire Station #29 in Germantown, Maryland. The facility consists of three engine bays with one-story living quarters located on either side of the apparatus bays and features four distinct low-slope roof areas.

Following Gale’s 2022 condition assessment of Montgomery County Government fire stations, this project was identified as part of the County’s long-term roof repair and replacement program. Gale’s services included roof evaluation, engineering, design, preparation of construction documents and technical specifications for public bidding, and limited construction phase services. The new roof system replaced the original built-up roof assemblies with modified bitumen cap sheets, helping extend the facility’s service life and support the County’s ongoing infrastructure investment.
