The Inn was designed in a Georgian Colonial Revival architectural style and constructed in 1929. The original portion of the building consists of a steel and wood-framed gambrel roof structure, brick masonry walls with punched window units, and a stone foundation that extends upward on a portion of the ground floor. When the property changed ownership and the Spa portion of the facility was constructed, the Spa footprint was doubled while other interior and exterior improvements and repairs were made.
Gale completed an evaluation for the repair/replacement of the building enclosure and roofing systems and provided a list of priorities and associated order-of-magnitude cost estimates, from which individual phases of building enclosure repairs or renovations may be planned.
