Roof Replacement Design and Consulting Services
Gale provided building enclosure consulting and design services for roof replacement at Southlake Elementary School, a prototype elementary school within Brevard Public Schools. The facility’s roofing systems include approximately 63,500 square feet of thermoplastic single-ply membrane roofing and standing seam metal mansards.
We performed a comprehensive evaluation of the existing low-sloped roofing systems and associated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural components in collaboration with Cape Design Engineering (CDE). Based on the findings, we developed engineering designs and prepared construction drawings and technical specifications for the replacement of the low-sloped roofing systems and metal mansards.
In addition to design services, Gale provided limited bid and construction phase assistance, including support during project implementation. Following construction, Gale furnished closeout services to document project completion and facilitate the Owner’s transition to long-term maintenance of the new roofing systems.
