Building Enclosure Commissioning and Design Review Services
Gale provided building enclosure commissioning and design review services for the new construction of the Braman Comprehensive Cancer Center at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL. The 216,000 SF, five-story facility includes 56 physician exam rooms, radiation oncology imaging, a women’s center, infusion bays, rehabilitation services, pharmacies, physician practices, a café, and other support spaces. Designed by CannonDesign, the building enclosure systems consisted of low-sloped roofing, plazas, architectural precast concrete walls, metal panels, storefronts, and curtain wall systems.
Retained by Moses Engineering, the project’s MEP commissioning provider, Gale supported building enclosure commissioning throughout the design, pre-construction, construction, testing, and post-construction phases. Services included review of building enclosure design documents, evaluation of enclosure systems, field observations, and assistance with developing and witnessing performance testing to verify compliance with project requirements.
