The project involved the renovation of the existing school and construction of a 110,000 GSF, three- to four-story addition. Designed to achieve net-zero energy performance, the facility earned LEED Gold certification. Gale provided enhanced Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx), including design-phase enclosure reviews, material selection and constructability consultation, and construction-phase services. As part of the enclosure consulting effort, Gale evaluated and designed approximately 13,000 square feet of existing low-slope roofing to support new photovoltaic arrays. The roof replacement included new tapered insulation sloped at ¼ inch per foot and an 80-mil PVC roofing membrane.
