Exterior Window Replacement
Gale conducted an evaluation of the high school’s existing windows to determine the cause of their premature failure and to develop recommendations for replacement. The windows appeared to have failed early, as evidenced by frame deflection that caused the sashes to disengage from the “tilt‑in” feature.
The design solution involved the replacement of approximately 550 windows with new, thermally broken, aluminum-framed units featuring project-out operable sashes. During the bid phase, Gale attended the pre-bid meeting, issued clarifications, and participated in construction meetings, site visits, and submittal reviews throughout the construction phase.
