Building Enclosure Commissioning
Jackson Laboratory is a state-of-the-art 189,000-square-foot facility dedicated to the research of genomic medicine. Gale provided comprehensive building enclosure commissioning services for this new research campus building. The scope included peer review of the building enclosure design development and construction documents, engineering analyses of specific enclosure components, including WUFI and THERM. Subcontractor shop drawings were reviewed for foundation and blind-side slab waterproofing, air/vapor barrier systems, flashings, curtain walls, insulated metal wall panels, interlocking zinc metal wall panels, stone masonry assemblies, thermoplastic (PVC) and standing-seam zinc roofing. During construction, Gale performed construction phase monitoring and observation of on-site mockup testing of the enclosure components.
