The goal of Gale’s Building Enclosure Commissioning Team is to “Build it Right the First Time.” The complexity of high-performance buildings can lead to potential shortfalls in their enclosure’s thermal and moisture performance. Our services are offered from comprehensive approaches to limited scopes and testing of specific enclosure components delivered during the design and construction phases.
Our forensic building enclosure knowledge informs our BECx commissioning process that identifies potential building enclosure issues before they become costly remediations. We collaborate with owners, users, design teams, and contractors to evaluate the enclosure’s design criteria and to offer options and solutions to reduce risks while improving long-term performance.

- Assist in developing Owner Project Requirements (OPR)
- Review Basis of Design (BOD)
- Review enclosure design documents
- Coordinate meetings with enclosure subcontractors
- Review of submittals and shop drawings
- Monitor building enclosure construction
- Consult with Owners and Architects to resolve constructability conflicts
- Perform building enclosure testing (mock-up in situ)
- Provide services in accordance with ASTM 2813 and LEED
