Gale provided design, bidding, permitting, and construction phase services to remove vegetative obstructions within the Runway 14-32 approach surfaces to re-authorize nighttime Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) procedures. An aerial obstruction mapping was prepared to identify impacted properties and locate obstructions, and an aeronautical study was developed to support upgrades to the airport’s runway approaches. The construction scope included the removal of trees and brush within a variety of environments, including a vernal pool, a brook, vacant land, residential properties, a privately owned conservation area, town roadways, and a state highway.
