The Bence Building, located at the historic 1607 Massachusetts Avenue site, is a new four-story, mixed-use building with ground floor retail space and upper floors to accommodate clinical and research programs. Gale provided a peer review of the building enclosure design plans, technical specifications, and construction documentation, including roofs, walls, windows, curtain walls, air barriers, exterior doors, and waterproofing components. During construction, Gale provided construction observation of the building enclosure assembly and quality assurance testing of mock-ups and field tests of “in-place” assemblies.
