Building Enclosure Commissioning
The project included the renovation of the existing school and the construction of a 3-4 story addition, approximately 110,000 GSF. Gale provided enhanced building enclosure commissioning services including design reviews, consultation, and limited construction phase services. We provided mark-ups to the architect’s drawings and specifications directly related to the building enclosure systems particularly moisture, air, and thermal control layers and related transitions between the various systems (waterproofing, air/vapor barriers, roofing, flashing at transitions, curtainwalls, and fenestrations). We also provided limited construction phase services. The project has a net zero energy rating.
