Structural Evaluation and Dunnage Design for Dual AHU Replacement
Gale is providing building envelope design and consulting services to Mass General Brigham (MGB) for the replacement of the roof system in separate areas of the Boston Lying In building. MGB has retained Walsh Brothers (Walsh) to perform the construction of the roof replacement. MGB has requested Gale to complete a structural evaluation of the existing structural framing to support two (2) new AHUs, and to perform engineering, design and prepare drawings and technical specifications for the augmentation and partial replacement of the structural dunnage and adjacent stairs/platforms. Gale has been requested to provide limited assistance during the bid phase. The project is tentatively scheduled to be constructed in late 2023.
