Mara studied sustainability in college, where she became interested in how energy conservation begins with the built environment. As a building enclosure specialist, she conducts evaluations, field testing, and analysis of building enclosure systems and components. Her work spans design and specifications through construction administration and monitoring, ensuring energy performance through continuous thermal, waterproofing, and air barrier systems.

What is your favorite part of your job?
I love to be out on site, watching a building go up piece by piece. I also get to do forensic testing, which can be a useful problem-solving tool in the field.
