Vegetation Obstruction Removal
Gale designed, bid, permitted, and provided construction phases services for the removal of vegetative obstructions from the Runway 14-32 approach surfaces to re-authorize nighttime IFR procedures. The project included the removal of trees and brush obstructions from a vernal pool, a brook, vacant land, residential properties, a privately owned conservation parcel, town streets, and the highway. Gale prepared aerial obstruction mapping to identify properties and the location of obstructions, and the preparation of an aeronautical study to upgrade the airport’s runway approaches.
