The Lowell Memorial Auditorium is a 2800-seat venue constructed circa 1922 and consists of a combination of cast-in-place concrete, steel, and wood framed structure with mass masonry exterior walls, punched window openings, and a low-slope EPDM roof system. Due to moisture infiltration and the aging systems within the facility, the City of Lowell solicited Gale and our consultants to perform a facility assessment of the building’s structure, enclosure, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Gale also reviewed the adjoining parking areas, sidewalks, and ramps as part of a Massachusetts Architectural Access Board review.
