Building Enclosure Commissioning
A new four-story building at 1607 Massachusetts Ave was completed and opened for use in the fall of 2019. The mixed-use building accommodates retail on the ground floor and the upper floors house both clinical and research programs. Gale provided peer reviews of plans, details, and technical specifications related to the exterior building enclosure, including roofs, walls, windows, curtain walls, air barriers, exterior doors, and waterproofing components. We also reviewed construction documents, monitored building enclosure construction, and provided quality assurance regarding the assembly and testing of mock-ups, as well as performing field tests on “in-place” assemblies.
