Taxilane Reconstruction
Gale provided planning, permitting, design, bid and construction phase services to reconstruct a taxilane serving several hangar buildings. The existing pavement was approximately 40 years old, in very poor condition, and required the reclamation and reuse of existing pavement and underlaying soils, followed with new bituminous pavement. Drainage structures and lines were replaced. The new taxilane met FAA pavement design and evaluation criteria, as outlined in AC 150/5320-6F, Airport Pavement Design and Evaluation.
