Varsity Baseball and Softball Complex Reconstruction
The existing baseball and softball facilities at Brown University featured clay infields, natural grass outfields, and a stonedust warning track. The complex lacked essential amenities such as electrical infrastructure, filming capabilities, outdated dugouts and spectator seating, and limited opportunities for school branding and visual identity. Gale’s Athletic Group was engaged by Brown to master plan improvements to the facilities resulting in the engineering design for a complete reconstruction of the complex. Comprehensive upgrades include the installation of synthetic turf fields to meet NCAA and Ivy League standards, new sunken dugouts and modern press boxes, upgraded grandstands behind home plate, integration of power and roof filming platform, bullpens, batting cages, field storage areas, school branding elements, site landscaping and accessible walkways.
