Structural Engineering for Parking Garage Repairs
The three-level parking garage has cast-in-place (CIP) concrete walking surfaces and a garden area over a waterproofing system. A covered walkway extends from the main building to the adjacent Boston Medical Center. The primary structural elements are CIP concrete slabs and beams, precast concrete T-beams, inverted T-beams (IT-beams), and columns. Emergency stabilization efforts were provided to allow the garage to continue to operate. Gale provided evaluation, structural design and bid phase services.
