Chelsea Griffin Knott, P.E., CDT

Chelsea’s job includes evaluating and designing building enclosure systems typically including roofs, walls, windows, and doors. She helps clients understand the issues their buildings are experiencing in order to develop the appropriate repair or replacement option. During her time at Gale, she has worked on a variety of different buildings for numerous clients including hospitals, schools, high-rise office buildings, and manufacturing facilities.

What is your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of my job is working on historic buildings. Although I ended up becoming an engineer, I have always been passionate about architecture and history. I love the opportunity to restore a historic building back to its original beauty.

Who are you outside of Gale?

Outside of work I love to spend my time on art or crafty projects around my home. Lately I’ve been on a kick restoring old tables. I also enjoy cooking, and one of my favorite things is spending a whole day crafting a delicious dinner. One of these days I’ll combine these passions and restore the perfect table to serve dinner on.
