Senior Associate / Director of Aviation

Matthew Caron, AICP

Matt Caron leads Gale’s Aviation Group responsible for project leadership, client management, operations, and quality assurance of our aviation engineering and planning practice. A certified planner with a Master’s in Community Economic Development, he brings over 20 years of planning experience specializing in airport development, environmental compatibility, facility planning and engineering, and regulatory compliance. His aviation portfolio includes airport master plans, avigation easements, environmental permitting, runway and taxiway reconstructions, and everything in-between.

What is your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of the job is collaborating with clients on a variety of projects that are unique to each airport. That, in addition to working with volunteer Airport Commissioners, each with their own diverse backgrounds, has afforded me many unique experiences and friendships within the aviation industry.

Who are you outside of Gale?

My wife Lori and I have two children, Taylor and Drew. When I am not at work, I can usually be found at the fields coaching youth sports and watching my kids compete. I enjoy virtually all outdoor activities, particularly fishing and yard work in the warmer months and skiing during the winter.
